C.P. Company

C.P. COMPANY is a brand founded in 1973 by the legendary Massimo Osti (1944 - 2005). Initially, the brand was called Chester Perry, however, claims regarding the name from the English companies Fred Perry and Chester Barry forced the name to be changed to the known CP COMPANY. The first part is of course initials from the original brand name. Massimo took the idea for it from his beloved Bristow comics printed in daily newspapers. Chester Perry was the name of the factory in which the main character worked.

By the time the name was changed, CP Company has already become an international brand with a strong industrial structure. Thanks to constant research and technical innovations, the company has become a pioneer on the market of new fabrics and dyeing techniques, which are still the basis of their production.   By using the Garment Dyed technique, Massimo gave entire collections a completely new look that has never been seen before. Inspired by the functional aspect of clothing, he began to collect a wide range of items, from work wear and military uniforms to astronaut suits and deep-sea divers.

Using his knowledge of fabric construction and the knowledge acquired during the research of his archive, Osti began to give his clothes varied functionality; creating elements suitable in many environments in various weather conditions. That is why CP Company produces both great caps and jackets that work well in virtually any weather.   His designs have changed the aesthetics of men's clothing. The introduction of innovation in fabric engineering and clothing usability has led many people in the press and fashion industry to describe Massimo Osti as "the inventor of urban sportswear and high-tech clothing." In 1988, the Bolognese was asked to create a jacket for the world-famous MILLE MIGLIA race.

This led to the birth of CP Company GOGLE JACKET, which to this day appear in the brand's collections. GOGGLES themselves are the hallmark of C.P. Company, which appears on jackets, sweatshirts or hats. His new hybrid forms drew inspiration from the history and technology of places as diverse as the United States, Central Europe, Japan and the United Kingdom. This allowed Osti to create timeless clothes that were resistant to seasonal trends - a principle that remains central to C.P. COMPANY to this day.
